What is Aphasia Studio?

Aphasia Studio is an online speech therapy practice platform. It provides exercises to help with word-finding, listening, reading, and communication skills.

Premium Members can create their own Intensive Program by going here, and adjusting the weekly goals. 

You can use Aphasia Studio as a supplement to your current Speech Therapy or to continue practice after speech therapy ends.  You can also use it to get started with your Aphasia Practice if you are waiting for your first speech therapy appointment.

Yes. All exercises are designed based on published research in aphasia rehabilitation. We use proven approaches like Semantic Feature Analysis (SFA), Verb Network Strengthening Treatment (VNeST), and progressive cueing hierarchies.

  • If you have access to a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), we encourage you to work with one. Professional therapy provides personalized assessment and treatment planning that’s incredibly valuable.

    That said, Aphasia Studio is designed to help everyone—whether you’re supplementing professional therapy or practicing on your own.

    The reality is that many people face barriers to therapy: cost, insurance limits, long waitlists, transportation, or living far from specialists. We built this platform so that anyone can access evidence-based practice, regardless of their situation.

    Research shows that high-dosage practice (practicing often, over time) is one of the most important factors in aphasia recovery. Aphasia Studio helps you get that practice—whether it’s between therapy sessions or as your primary way to work on language skills.

    Bottom line: Work with an SLP if you can. Use Aphasia Studio either way.

There is A LOT of FREE practice available on the site.  However, there are PREMIUM Features that can be accessed with a monthly subscription of $14.99 (less than a typical copay for a speech therapy session plus gas to get there).
