Free Letter Practice for Aphasia

Letters are the building blocks of reading and spelling, and after a stroke they can stop feeling automatic. In this exercise you see and hear letters, then tap to answer — recognizing letters, matching them to sounds, and saying them out loud.

It uses a high-legibility font so similar letters (I, l, 1) stay distinct, large touch targets, and audio on everything. Free, in the browser, at your own pace.

Letters lead naturally into spelling practice and first-sounds practice. If reading is the bigger goal, here is how reading practice rebuilds stamina. Read the Letters guide — how it works and who it is used with.
